Chapter 1

I am a sexual being, and I won’t apologize for who I am. Working in a man’s world, I used to find it difficult to be their equals. I wanted to be one of the guys, work long hours, and have as much sex in my office with whoever I wanted. I don’t want that anymore. That was the old me. Why would I want to transform myself into a businessman, when I could be more powerful as a woman, personally and professionally.

My womanhood makes me strong, intelligent, and fierce. When I finally accepted myself for who I was, my life changed. I’m at the top of my game in the business world, working as a CEO of an acquisitions company. My skill is unparalleled, and I’ve got more money than I’ll be able to spend in my lifetime. Not only that, but I’m in the prime of my life, prowling around for my next sexual conquest. I deserved to be pleasured just as much as the next woman.

My most recent business trip took me to San Francisco. I was trying to poach a manager for a new marketing company I purchased last month. This guy, Adrien, loved to travel, but he kept his private life a secret. I’d been travelling around trying to stage a casual run-in with him, so I could build a stronger rapport. I was always a step behind him. I needed new informants. If I didn’t get Adrien, I would consider myself a failed businesswoman. Adrien was a mastermind at the ripe age of twenty-five. I’m thirty-two, but I’ve been told I look his age.

When I set my sights on something, I get it. My streak is flawless, and I wasn’t about to let this guy knock me off my game. As soon as I got off the plane in the city, I went to the hotel that he was rumored to be staying in. I didn’t have a reservation, but the hotel manager was an old friend of mine, and got me a top floor suite. It was late, and I wanted to sleep, but there was no time for that. I had to get ready.

After settling in, I slipped on a black dress that perfectly hugged my body. It reached just below my knees, and had thick shoulder straps. I had the urge to wear my feather boa, but I promised a friend I’d leave that for role playing. Looking in the mirror, I pulled my auburn hair into a loose ponytail. Quickly, I decided against that, and let my curls fall to my shoulders. My brown eyes looked fierce when I put on my mascara, and I loved how soft my lips looked with my new shade of red lipstick.

I didn’t need a purse, because I wasn’t planning on paying for any drinks. If someone tried to ask for identification, I’d tell them to speak to the manager. I slipped on my long, midnight blue trench coat and headed to the hotel bar. When I sat at the table in the corner, I hoped to run into Adrien, but someone better showed up in the corner of my eye.

A man with confidence in his eyes, wearing a blue designer suit, walked in. Our eyes locked the moment he saw me, and a warm sensation coursed through my body. This man was a little stalky. I didn’t like my men scrawny anyway. He was clean shaven, wore a gold watch, and had blue eyes that made my heart run wild. They were kind, with a hint of danger. He could leave a few bruises on me in the bedroom.

When he sat at the bar, he ordered two drinks, and walked over to me. He sat down across from me and placed them on the table. Sliding one glass toward me, he didn’t say a word. I took a sip, and realized it was gin martini. He knew my favorite. “A man never does anything without expecting something in return,” I said softly. The piano melody in the background made me feel like I was in a movie from the forties. I played with the diamond necklace on my neck and watched his lips curl up into a grin.

The man leaned back in his chair and sipped his drink. “And what do women do?” he asked. His voice was warm and inviting. It was like he had a secret, and he couldn’t wait to share it with me.

“Whatever we want,” I smirked. Placing my drink on the table, I walked over to him and sat in his lap. I wrapped my arms around him, and kissed his cheek.

“How forward of you,” he chuckled, and I felt the bulge building in his pants.

“I don’t like to waste time,” I whispered in his ear, “I know what I want, and I go after it. Do you have a problem?”

“Not at all,” he said, and nibbled on my ear.

“I have a room on the top floor.”

“But I’m having fun here.”

“Don’t make me work too hard for it. I’ve had a long day, and I’d like to have a happy ending.”

He squeezed me tightly in his strong arms and kissed my lips. “I’d rather have you sober, anyway.”

“Then you’d better follow me,” I said. I sauntered to the elevator, and slyly looked over my shoulder. “Are you coming?”

“I can last a little longer than that,” he said, and followed me in the elevator.

The door closed and I pushed him against the wall. His hands grabbed my face and we kissed furiously. I jumped and wrapped my legs around his waist. He stepped forward and pushed me into the opposite wall. His touch was warm, and he smelled like pine and freshly cut grass. I stuck my tongue in his throat and swirled it around. He grunted, and I let my legs drop.

I watched him breathe heavily, as I pushed the button for the top floor. I didn’t bother checking my makeup, because I knew it wouldn’t smudge. Pulling down my dress, I leaned in the corner and he mirrored my actions.

“You’re a firecracker,” he said.

“It’s nothing you’ve never experienced before, right?”

“I’ve had my fair share of explosions.”

“Don’t expect anything less tonight, then.”

He grinned, and I wanted to kiss him, but he had to work for it a bit more. We reached my floor, and he followed me to my room. He took off his blazer, and threw it over the chair by the desk. “Should I get some drinks sent up here?”
